Stage 1.5 Package - 380HP | 99.5-03 7.3L Powerstroke
What Can This Kit Be Used For?
This package is great for towing any weight and fast spool up, while staying reliable and not needing head studs, valve-springs, and pushrods or an upgraded HPOP.
A stock Late 99-03 truck will dyno at aproximately 190HP and 380lb.ft of torque.
This Stage 1.5 kit is capable of 380-400HP and 700-750lb.ft of torque.
Paired with 1023 Diesel Tuning this setup is clean, cool and perfect for taking that stock truck to the next level and keep up with the new models rolling off the assembly line.
Our Recommended Turbos:
#1. Irate Diesel T4 Mount kit with S364.5SX-E - This is our MOST recommended turbo for these injectors. No compromise.. Fastest spooling, most responsive turbo and perfect for these injectors at any altitude. And on OBS trucks this will come with most components needed to add an intercooler so, kill two birds with one stone!
#2. KC Stage 1 (63/68 .84) - This is our preferred drop in turbo, Fast Spool up and will get you the max power from these injectors while still being very responsive for towing and daily driving.
#3. A simple billet wheel in most cases will suffice with these injectors, this will leave some power on the table and not the best EGT Control but will work in a pinch and is mandatory (at a minimum) to keep the turbo from having surging issues on L99-03 trucks.
Will my Stock HPOP Be OK?
What Transmission Upgrades Will be needed?
If this is a daily driver/tow rig that is not beat on constantly, a healthy stock transmission with a shift kit and torque converter upgrade will generally last very well.
Auto Trucks - For a VERY good replacement transmission, we recommend you look at these options.
Manual Trucks - If your truck is a manual, our recommended clutch is this South bend.
Will a Fuel System Be Needed?
For max potential, you will not need a complete fuel system, however a regulated return and a "Hutch Mod" are not a bad idea to keep good fuel supply. These are just recomended, they are NOT needed to see good gains over stock.

Awesome! If you need new injectors and want an upgrade from stock this is the package to get. All the parts work great together and the price is perfect. Staff is friendly and easy to work with. Looking forward to doing more business with them.

Brand New Truck
I use my truck to haul for my business, hauling a CAT Skid Loader or a CAT Mini-Excavator 4-5 days a week, with a trailer weight of 14k to 18k. I wanted to make a jump into a newer truck, but the used truck market is unrealistic right now and that is no longer an option. I decided to invest the money into my L99 and try to get its power numbers comparable to newer trucks. I opted for the KC300X 63/68, FFD 180/30s, a Stage 1 CNCFab HPOP, new HPOP lines, CNCFab 4-Line Fuel Feed, new CAC boots and clamps, rebuilt Fuel Bowl, and many other maintenance items, as my truck does have 251k miles. The customer support from 1023 was incredible. I actually gave Dusty a call months ago when trying to decide on a setup, and he took time to answer my questions and point me towards a YouTube video he had just made covering those topics. They were also very responsive when I asked questions after purchasing my kit, with regards to shipping cores in, my tune revisions, etc. My truck pulls like an absolute monster now. It hits 30+ PSI of boost in my hot tunes, and sits at 15-20psi of boost when towing, between 1900 to 2200 RPM, with EGTs rarely coming close to 1200F. I have had zero issues with the tunes, and in fact had no need for revisions because they each exceeded my expectations from the beginning, in comparison to the canned Hydra tunes I was running prior. Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this combination or the support from 1023. Would HIGHLY recommend this kit for anyone that is looking for a phenomenal towing setup.

I needed to replace injectors so I said why not give it a little something more. I went with the FFD injectors, kc balanced assembly and sinister regulated return and I have absolutely no regrets. Truck runs amazing and pulls even better.

Stage 1.5 KC 300X
I added a 300X 63/68 .84 turbo to this kit and the power is unreal over the stock turbo with a wicked wheel2 and a PHP hydra with there canned tunes. I initally had some EGT issues, Dusty said check for boost leaks, I ended up having 4 leaks, after fixing them my EGTs dropped significantly.
