Power Hungry Performance Hydra 17 Position Chip for Ford Powerstroke 7.3L 1994-2003

The Hydra Chip includes 17 total memory slots for tuning presets (15 tuning presets, NO START, and MODULE BYPASS) to get the most performance and efficiency out of your truck no matter where or how you are driving! On the old, 6-position knob-style chip, you could never tell what preset you were running unless you counted the knob's clicks. On the new Hydra Chip, you can always see what tuning program you are running with its convenient LED switchbox. Using the up and down buttons on the switchbox, you can change your tuning preset on the fly.

When you purchase the Hydra Chip, you will have the ability to load 15 specific tunes for your truck make/year. The Software program is a FREE Download. This Download will allow access to the complete inventory of PHP Standard 7.3L Tunes all at no additional charge. The USB connection on the Hydra Chip itself will allow you to load tuning presets to your chip without having to take it to a dealer or send it back to PHP! Just plug it into your computer and download your selections.

This feature is especially helpful if you order a custom tune from Power Hungry Diesel--they can email you the file (which is specific to your serial number) and you can install it yourself from the comfort of your home! If you purchase the in-truck USB dash adapter, you can even plug your laptop into the chip from your cab while it is still installed in your truck!

    I purchased my 2002 Ford F350 7.3 liter with 200,000 miles on it. The truck ran smooth and within a week it was towing a 16,000 pound 5th Wheel. Pulled ok, mileage about 10 miles per gallon towing. 14 mpg without towing. Put Hydra chip in and tried some default tunes. Transmission would not shift correctly, so I called PHP support and talked to Ward. Told me to try the tunes with Hybrid shift. removed all loaded tunes and installed 10 new ones - in 15 minutes. Truck runs like never before and I am using the fuel sipper tune. I am amazed.

    In the few days that it has been installed in mybtruck all I can say is wow,what a difference. Truck responds so much better and shifts smoother. Even with stock tunes I am thoroughly impressed with the Hydra.

    First off the reason for 4 stars is that I was expecting the switcher to have the 1023 decal on it and mine came blank. Other than that it fantastic. Greatest option for tuning to current set up, but is wide open for future mods. Love it. Minus the no decal....

    I was a bit skeptic about buying a tuner that I’m not familiar but it was highly recommended by other good friends that know a 7.3, so I tried bought it.
    It came unprogramed. But the customer service from 1023 was super excellent and in no time he walked me to how to programe it.
    Also there is many programming and installing videos on YouTube.
    This is the tuner for a 7.3. The power it gave my heavy truck from stock to hydra non custom tunes is unbelievable impressive.
    I’m very happy
